Why Hugo?

Hugo Logo Well, it’s simple, fast, bloat-free, and good enough for my purposes. Why not use JavaScript or dynamic sites? Honestly, I don’t want to write boilerplate code until next Christmas. The load on the server is very low because it generates a static site, and with my current VPS plan, a static site made more sense.

I’m also planning to host multiple services on the same VPS, so I don’t want a Node.js app that gobbles up the CPU. And honestly, I don’t think people really prefer dynamic sites. While they might be pleasing to the eyes, they often deviate from the core purpose of a website or webpage—to provide information (though, not all sites, of course).

The other things about HUGO is that I just write markdown files on my terminal and it just makes it work, creates pages for tags, the boilerplate is very less than you expect it to be.
